      <title>Novels, historical or modern, with local plots</title>

        <p>Wildwood Dean, <a href="http://www.aikinarchives.org/index.php/harvill/entries/steamboat/">in a blog comment</a>, has mentioned an upcoming historical novel with a local plot, and Dwight Chaney also mentioned another locally situated novel. I&#8217;d love to read both of these, but that spawns the question: are there other fairly recent novels with plots set in this area of Northeast Texas?</p>
