Nora Belle Neal McEwin Mills was a cook at the Aikin Hospital during the 1920’s. She may have become a nurse as well. She was living with her aunt, Hattie M. Thomas, in 1920. Ms. Thomas was the superintendant of the Aikin Hospital at that time. Am looking for any information on Ms. Thomas. Contact

Has anyone heard of S. Lynn Photography in Paris, TX? I have an unidentified picture of a female that is in a cardboard mat. The mat is cut in a square with the name of the photagraphy studio on the edge. The photo looks to be from the early 1900’s.

Looking for information on a Benjham S. Herron who married Ruth Wilmuth. A family member told me that Benjham worked on the railroad and died while at work. Benjham and Ruth had two daughters—Ruby and Pearl born 1918 and 1919 respectively.

Anything on Mrs. Sheb (Shelby E.) Ryan—maiden name Mary Virginia Hubert (also known as Mamie Ryan or Mary Ryan) born July 17, 1883, died Aug. 13, 1964, in Paris TX, probably at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Daughter of John Chambers Hubert and Catherine Forrester Hubert. Left a daughter, Virginia Ryan Wright, and a son, William Ryan, and 2 granddaughters—Anne Collins and Jere Lambert.

Mrs. Chambers (or John Chambers) Hubert—maiden name Catherine Forrester, died April 16, 1937, probably in Paris TX, mother of Mrs. Sheb Ryan. Might have died in Amarillo, TX. She had 2 living daughters, one the person listed above and the other was Anna Dohoney, Mrs. Wm. B. Dohoney, who lived in Amarillo. She was born Jan. 18, 1851.

Hello. My name is Janet Walsh from Kansas City KS. I am helping a cousin of mine with the Neel family genealogy. I know my maternal grandfather was born on a farm in Paris TX in 1904. His name was Willie Lloyd Neel. Between 1895 and 1914 he had 5 brothers, names Otto, Ray, Charles, Olan, and Elvin. 2 sisters, names Dovie and the other an infant, no name there. Our family has been trying for a while to track down birthdates. Their parents were named Benjamin Daniel and Alice (maiden Willis). Was hoping and looking into many websites around Paris to inquire if anyone has information about this family to help our tree.
