Many of the discussions you find here are serious, but this area was designed with a bit of fun in mind, as well as usefulness.
As a registered member, you have a number of options to personalize your participation here.
» AVATARS: Avatars are graphic emblems used to identify posters at a glance. The dragon at left - a logo of the Paris Junior College mascot - is an example. You can create your own and upload it to our server for use with your posts.
» USER PHOTOS: You can also upload small photos of yourself that can be viewed in you public profile.
» SIGNATURES: You can customize a signature that will appear at the bottom of each of your posts.
These options and more can be found by clicking the “Your Control Panel” link at the top of this page.
Registered users can also send private e-mail to other forum participants from within this system, if the recipient users choose to accept such e-mails. (NOTE: While your email address is NOT available for public viewing on this site, sending an e-mail in this manner will result in your address being revealed to the recipient.) Just click the “screen name” you see next to the user’s post, then click the “E-mail” icon in that user’s public profile.
Registered users can also send private messages to other users from within this system, if the recipient users choose to accept such messages. These messages are not e-mails, but are handled through the forum itself. To send a private message - a “PM” - click the “PM” button on the user’s post, and you will be taken to a form for sending the message.
Users manage their PM account through the “Your Control Panel” link at the top of the page. Once within your control panel, click the “Private Messages” link to the left to expose the menu.
Watch the Private Message box at the top of each page for an indication that you have received a PM. You can also set the system to send you an e-mail notifying you of a new private message. By default, this is set to “on.” You can turn off this option under the “E-mail Setting” link under “Personal Settings” in your control panel.
So explore and enjoy.
